How do the courses work?
Toronto e School courses are offered online at torontoeschool.com. You can
register for one or more courses and start a course at any time of the year.
All learning materials and resources are presented online and can be accessed
24 hours a day, every day. You will submit assignments electronically and write
tests online. Your final mark is determined by a combination of your work in
tests, assignments, online collaborations and an exam.You will be assigned an
online teacher who will monitor your progress and evaluate your performance and
guide you through the online material. Your teacher will be available by email
and regular online discussion sessions.

Is Toronto e School a registered school?
Yes. Toronto eSchool is a registered Secondary School in the province of
Ontario, Canada. We are inspected and accredited by the Ministry of Education of
Ontario and are authorized to grant Ontario High School Credits and as well as the
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) since 2013. Our school is
no different than any other bricks and mortar school such as Humberside
Collegiate, or Upper Canada College. Our
Ministry of Education BSID number is 886520.
Can I earn a high school diploma with Toronto eSchool?
Yes. Toronto eSchool is accredited by the Ministry of Education to offer high school credits
toward the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and is recognized by all universities
and colleges in Canada and around the world.
Do universities accept credits from Toronto e School?
Of course. Toronto e School credits are the same credits from any Ontario High
School, public or private. Each year thousands of Ontario students take
online courses that are recorded on their Ontario Student Transcript. These
course become part of their application to post-secondary education around the
world.
How long does it take to complete a course?
Toronto eSchool Online is self-directed study, meaning there is no set schedule for
a student to follow or due dates to complete assignments. We recommend that you try
to complete your course in 4 months. Students who delay the completion of their course
often don't finish it. It is in your best interests to schedule your learning so that
your course can be completed in a reasonable amount of time. Your teacher will monitor
your progress to make sure you are staying on a realistic timeline.
Do I need a textbook?
No. All materials and resources are online. You only need to login to your
course at torontoeschool.com. And you can do this from anywhere in the world.
How do I register?
You can register online here: Register.
You need to (1) create your account, (2)choose your course, and then (3) choose
your payment method.
After you create your account, you will receive an email
confirmation of registration and login/password. You will then be prompted for
a payment option -PayPal, Visa or Mastercard. You can start your course in
minutes.
How do I write tests?
All tests are completed online. Tests have a time limit, so once you start a
test you need to complete it within the time limit allowed. You can access a
test any time of the day, from anywhere you are logged in.
How do I write the exam?
The exam is completed online. You will need a Toronto eSchool approved proctor
to supervise you when you write the exam. You can write the exam at a Toronto
eSchool location that is not your home.
Will eShool accept equivalent Credits?
We can assess your transcript from outside Ontario to determine whether equivalent
credits can be granted. The assessment will determine how many courses the student
needs to complete in order to earn the OSSD. TES will enter the equivalent credits
on the student's transcript.
Can I apply for university in OUAC?
We will open an OUAC account for any student whose OSR is hosted by Toronto eSchool.
TES will maintain the OUAC account throughout the school year, in which you have a
minimum 3 active courses enrolled.
What does part-time/Full-time study mean?
Part-time study refers to students taking one or more courses with Toronto eSchool,
while maintaining active status at their home school.
Full-time study refers to students who apply for Toronto eSchool as their home school
(the main school at which they take the majority of the courses, and which holds their
Ontario Student Record- OSR and may issue them OSSD diploma). It is required to apply
for minimum three (3) courses per semester to meet this qualification.
Who will be my teacher?
Each student has a certified teacher throughout their course and will be able to communicate
with the teacher via email. Your teacher will answer questions, provide short feedback, and
grade assessments. Your online teacher should be the first person you contact with any
questions or concerns about your course or course content.
How long does it take to grade my assignments?
Most of the courses provide students with feedback and grading within 5 business days of submission.
Can I still take courses with eSchool while living outside of Canada?
Yes, we welcome students living anywhere in the world. All that you will need to finish your course
is a computer and an internet connection.
